Huan Pham

Huan Pham is extremely pleased to be the new owner of Lakeshore Fitness and Health. He received his Bachelor’s Degree of Kinesiology and Health Science from UBC-Vancouver in 2013. While working toward his Degree, he played five years of varsity volleyball for Douglas College and Capilano University. During his volleyball career, Huan played for some excellent coaches and on programs that were top-ranked in the CCAA (Canadian College Athletic Association).
During his last year at school in Vancouver, Huan became a CSEP-CPT (Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology) and while working as a personal trainer for Body and Soul, one of Vancouver’s leading personal training facilities. Over the course of his three year tenure at Body & Soul, Huan had the opportunity to train a variety of male and female clients, ranging in age from 12 to 90, who came from diverse athletic backgrounds – some with little to no experience with exercise and/or suffered from physical limitations. One highlight of his experience in Vancouver was training the men’s Canadian Doubles Badminton team, who went on to defend their title as Pan American Champions (2014) and to compete in the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Further, Huan worked as an assistant coach under Jake Elder, the head strength and conditioning coach for Douglas College. During this time, he trained varsity-level volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and soccer athletes which included a variety of disciplines such as group training, a wide range of strength and conditioning exercises, physical testing, conducting anthropometric measurements and writing training programs.
Huan has also contributed to his community by volunteering to coach boys and girls clubs and high school volleyball teams. Not only is he committed to providing a remarkable fitness training facility for Summerland, he hopes to coach the Summerland Rockets to a High School Volleyball Provincial Championship! Huan's desire to find his way to Summerland was cemented years ago when he would train and compete in the Summerland Taekwondo Summer Camp and Tournament. When the opportunity to own and operate a fitness training facility in Summerland surfaced, he jumped at the chance to share his knowledge and passion for training in this beautiful town nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley.
He truly looks forward to making a positive fitness impact on the community!.
